Today is all about Maboneng.
Maboneng is a Sesotho word meaning “place of light”, a fitting name for a district that has fast become a center of creative energy for Johannesburg’s urban artists. This magical urban neighborhood is the center of creative energy with a mix of restaurants, coffee shops, clothing boutiques, art galleries, retail and studio space. The precinct draws the inner-city public as well as the chic, art-going crowd of the city’s suburbs, bringing life back to this downtown Johannesburg neighborhood. The area also drives Johannesburg tourism within the local and international tourist markets. Maboneng boasts an abundantly inclusive vibe, which a must see for everyone in Joburg and the world.

Situated alongside Sun City Resort, the Pilanesberg National Park is home to the largest collection of animals indigenous to Southern Africa. Known as ‘Big 5 Country’, the park spans 55 hectares of dormant volcanic terrain, and offers uninterrupted game viewing for wildlife enthusiasts and those wanting a slice of the African bush on their Sun City holiday.
The Pilanesberg was officially opened in 1979, which coincided with the launch of Sun City after its founder Sol Kerzner secured the rights to build the resort adjacent to the park. Shortly after opening, over 6 000 species of game were expropriated to the park which today remains one of the largest game resettlement projects in South Africa.

There is nothing quite like being on a luxury yacht. Whether you are enjoying the picturesque views of Cape Town out among the brisk Atlantic breeze or relaxing in your air-conditioned cabin, cruising in luxury brings a certain renewed vitality. Our luxury Only One 65 foot Princess yacht does this very well with a cruising speed of 20 knots. Enjoy her.
Cruise from the Cape Town V&A Waterfront. Popular choices include cruising along the Atlantic seaboard taking in the exceptional views of Cape Town and Table Mountain, cruising passed Granger Bay on our port side and Robben Island on our starboard side. On reaching Clifton we drop anchor and guests can relax and enjoy snacks and refreshments.
The yacht rental includes:
*A selection of alcoholic/non-alcoholic beverages, still and sparkling water, coffee and tea, as well as sushi/fruit and cheese platters.
*There are 4 bedrooms and 3 bathrooms on board.
*Maximum capacity of 12 people.
Head off to the historic heart of South Africa’s wine industry. Enjoy some time in the bustling town of Stellenbosch where solid, white-plastered buildings arose and the streets were planted with oak trees, giving it the name Eikestad (Town of Oaks), which is still used to describe the town today. Walk down the canal-lined avenues, in the shade of those now giant oak trees and its beautifully preserved historic buildings. Stop in at one of the world-renowned estates for a wine tasting and tune into the soul of the region’s winelands. Return back to Cape Town in time for your afternoon Robben Island Tour.
To fully understand and appreciate the history of Cape Town – and more broadly, of South Africa – one must visit Robben Island, the infamous island prison off the coast of the city. For centuries the island was used to isolate prisoners, mainly those with alternative political leanings, from the mainland and therefore from political discourse. Notoriously, former South African President Nelson Mandela was incarcerated on the island for 18 of the 27 years he spent in prison. After boarding a ferry to reach the island, you will be met by a local guide – usually a former inmate of the island during the apartheid era – to participate on a shared outing where you will learn deeply moving and at times personal accounts of times past. Please note: Ferries depart at 9am & 1pm, weather permitting, from Nelson Mandela Gateway along the V&A Waterfront in Cape Town. The standard tour to Robben Island is three hours and 30 minutes long, including the two, half-hour ferry transfers.
Enjoy a private transfer between your hotel and Cape Town airport back to JNB airport.
